I have more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. I started my career with Citizens Bank in Flint. I held a variety of executive positions for Citizens and its subsidiaries, including Chief Operating Officer, National Bank of Royal Oak; Executive Vice President, CitiBank & Trust in Jackson, MI; and Director of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Shareholder Relations, Citizens Banking Corporation.
For the past 15 years, I served in leadership positions in the wealth, investment and private bank areas of Citizens Bank, FirstMerit, and Huntington Bank. Most recently, I was responsible for overseeing approximately $2 billion in assets under management for the Flint and Great Lakes Bay offices of Huntington Private Bank.
My wife, Becky, and I have been actively involved in our communities. I served on numerous boards and chaired many committees for several organizations, including the Flint Institute of Music; Flint Cultural Center; Boys and Girls Clubs of Flint and South Oakland County; the Salvation Army, Royal Oak; South Oakland YMCA; Jackson Symphony Orchestra; Jackson Affordable Housing; and many more.
I enjoy spending time with Becky, our children, and our grandchildren. Becky and I are 20-plus-year members of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton. We are also dedicated to animal rescue, including providing a foster home for several “furry critters.” In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends at our Houghton Lake cottage, skiing, fishing, golfing, and motorcycle touring.
